About the Photgrapher....
Like most outdoor nature photographers, taking pictures became a natural extension of my love for being in the woods or out on the trails, watching a beautiful sunset, or the fascination with the colors of a changing season. My early attempts at Photography while on my little hiking trips were pretty basic of course but seemed good enough at the time. Then when I became aware of the stunning images being produced for Sierra Club, Audubon, and other nature calendars, I was inspired to take my photography to a another level. It was the influence of these images and time spent in the mountains of East Tennessee, where I lived for a few years after college, that gave me a greater appreciation for the visual beauty of nature in all of it's many forms and led to a further exploration of photography.
It has taken a long time to develop my photographic eye as I am for the most part self-taught. I still feel in many ways like an amateur photographer and that this will take perhaps a lifetime to master. In the meantime I hope that my images will inspire you to explore the outdoors and seek out your own beautiful visions of nature.
